Welcome to Diamond H Ranch!

The Diamond H Ranch has been in the Hendershot family in excess of 150 years. Simon Zelotus Hendershot, born in 1847, moved to Texas after serving in the Ohio Infantry during the Civil War. He acquired the land while working for a railroad man who compensated him in land rather than currency. This land became the Diamond H Ranch and is currently a working cattle ranch under the ownership of the fourth generation of Hendershots. In recent years, Simon “Trey” Hendershot III and his wife Cherie have further developed the ranch to include a number of exotics including blackbuck, zebra, addax, and a number of birds such as quail and dove. In addition to hunting, Diamond H offers lodging, meals, and a pavilion for events.
